39 textless duos.
The copy of the first edition (1657) found in Bologna, Civico Museo Bibliografico Musicale, lacks pages 69-72, which in all likelihood included duos 37 and 38. Some of the rubrics concerning the voices involved are not on the music page, but in the tavola only; furthermore, the Roman numbering is often misprinted and corrected by an early hand (sometimes incorrect as well).
One book with the music notated in score.
