Diego Ortiz, El primo libro: Nel quale si tratta delle glose sopra le cadenze et altre sorte de punti in la musica del violone novamente posti in luce (Valerio Dorico, Rome 1553) RISM: O136
Six duos based on the Tenor di Spagna, which is always in the lower line.
These duos are meant for a viol and, possibly, a harpsichord.
The «recercadas» are found in the Libro secondo on ff. 30v-35r, in the Chapter «De la seconda manera de teñer el violon con el cymbalo que es sobre canto llano».
