Bicinia gallica, latina, germanica ex praestantissimis musicorum munumentis collecta et secundum seriem tonorum disposita: Tomus primus (Georg Rhau, Wittenberg 1545) RISM: 1545/6
92 duos, including sacred and secular bicinia with texts in Latin, Italian, German and French, and textless duos. Nos. 77, 83 and 85 are tricinium.
The duos are sorted in four series; the collection begins with a series of French chansons (Nos. 1-28), called in the title-page «BICINIA GALLICA».
The series of duos with Latin texts (Nos. 29-73) is introduced by the rubric «SEQVVNTVR / BICINIA / Latina». Most duos are contrafacta.
The series of canons (Nos. 74-85) is introduced by the rubric «SEQVVNTVR / ALIQUOT FVGAE.». Only the upper part-book is involved.
Finally, the series of duos with German texts (Nos. 86-95) is introduced by the rubric «SEQVVNTVR / BICINIA / Germanica».
Some of the numbers are in more than two parts.
